The editor uses the widely adopted marked parser with GitHub Flavored Markdown enabled, so you get ATX headings, bold and italic text, strikethrough, links, images, ordered and unordered lists, task lists, blockquotes, fenced code blocks, tables, horizontal rules and raw HTML. Line breaks are converted with the “breaks” option switched on, matching the behaviour of most chat and note apps.
No. Both the Markdown parser and the preview run inside your browser, so the document you are writing stays entirely on your device. There is no account, no sync and no server-side storage.
The preview tab shows the rendered document exactly as a browser would display it. The HTML source tab shows the raw markup produced by the Markdown parser, which is handy when you want to copy the HTML into an email, a CMS or a website template. The Copy HTML and Download .html buttons use that same markup.
